Remember the Maine Feb 15, 1898 Original 1898 Paperweight; Sulphide of Admiral Dewy’s Flagship The Olympia Suspended Over Flower of Multiple Colorful Chips

Here can see in the photo below the years that have left its mark on the underside. It is the only evidence of item being old that you can always count on.  Here we see any area that made contact with a surface has left hundreds of scratches etched in the glass.

Another good look at the bottom of the paperweight that is 110 yrs. old

Below is a top view of the paperweight. It is hard to capture the beauty that this paperweight is. When you have it in hand it looks as if the ship is floating above a colorful. It looks like a donut when viewed from above.

In this photo you can see it floating over the flower shaped donut. It looks a sliver floating in air.

Here is a good look at the colorful flower. I don’t know if this was intentional or they just the way it came out.
